The International Communion of Benedictine Women (CIB) is calling on its members to join in prayer for world peace at First Vespers on the First Sunday of Advent, November 29, 2014.
“In solidarity with one another throughout the world, please PRAY FOR PEACE at First Vespers on this day,” said Sister Judith Heble OSB, Moderator of the CIB.
“As the time cycle revolves around the earth commencing on the date line in Kiribati, prayer for peace will continue for 24 hours around the earth by those in consecrated life.”
Sister Judith encouraged CIB members to invite other religious women and men throughout the world to join the CIB in making November 29 a universal day of prayer for peace.
“Together, religious of the world can make a significant impact at a time when our world is in desperate need of peace,” she said.
