Incoroporated Colleges
Campus Connections
The Sisters of the Good Samaritan were founded in 1857 and within a few years they had established a school in Sussex Street in the heart of Sydney.
Then, as now, the Sisters worked in collaboration with women and men, providing for the educational needs of young students.
From the beginning, interactive networks grew up between the local community, the Church and the school.
Schools were opened up, first in New South Wales and then in other parts of Australia. Today there are ten incorporated Good Samaritan Colleges located along the eastern states of Australia and one on the island of Kyushu in Japan.
Each of the following schools has been incorporated into a Company limited by guarantee, each with its own legal entity and governed by a Board of Directors responsible to the Members of the Company under the direction of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan.
The Sisters of the Good Samaritan have retained the ownership of these eleven colleges and value these schools as a sphere of their apostolic activity within the mission of the Church.
