The Good Samaritan Archives is the central repository for the Sisters of the Good Samaritan of the Order of St Benedict, a congregation founded by Archbishop John Bede Polding in Sydney in 1857.

Preserve the records generated and accumulated by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in the practice of their spiritual and temporal works of charity according to the rule of Benedict

Provide an information service

Promote an appreciation of the work of the congregation and its heritage.
