statement of directions

This statement was ratified by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in Chapter in September-October 2005. The statement is a visionary statement guiding the Sisters in their communal and corporate lives.

 

We are women of hope,
called by God
to listen with the ear of the heart.
Compassion and justice
are at the heart of our mission
to be neighbour.

Therefore, we commit ourselves:

• To live in deeper communion with God and with each other
• To embrace hospitality welcoming difference without judgment or prejudice
• To be re-shaped by our cross-cultural richness
• To cherish the whole of creation
