They participate in a program of prayer, study and reflection with sisters and other oblates.
After a time of formation, an oblate candidate requests permission to make their oblation, a commitment to seeking God through prayer, reflection and study of the Rule of St Benedict, and living the gospel especially the parable of the Good Samaritan in their daily lives.
Whenever and wherever, Good Samaritan Sisters gather for special occasions of prayer and celebration, they invite the Oblates to share the experience with them. This is mutually enriching.
The Oblates can also share the rich heritage of the Benedictine world, as part of the world-wide movement of Benedictine Oblates.
