Human Trafficking

Slavery of women, men and children continues to plague our global human community with the United Nations estimating millions of people are trafficked each year.

Australia is a destination for enslaved people for reasons such as sexual servitude, labour exploitation and servile marriages.

Good Samaritans are committed to the work and ministry of ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Human Trafficking). This organisation works to provide direct support for victims of trafficking, to advocate with government officials on their behalf, to educate the community about the reality of human slavery, to promote slavery-free supply chains for the goods we purchase, and to educate against forced marriages.
