The impressive floating maneaba at Immaculate Heart School is surrounded by water at high tide. Maneabas are traditional structures used as meeting places, community halls, courts and sanctuaries. They are the foundation of community life in Kiribati and also symbolise the Good Samaritan value of hospitality.
