The Sisters of The Good Samaritan - Safeguarding of Children, Young People and Adults at Risk

In 2016, the Good Samaritan Inn celebrated 20 years of providing emergency accommodation to women and their children.

Situated in Melbourne’s north, the Inn provides a safe, hospitable shelter for these women and children during the crisis of domestic violence or homelessness.

Currently almost 300 families are supported each year as they await a longer-term solution to their current crisis situation. The short experience of compassion provides a haven so that other decisions can be made and life re-arranged.

This ministry of being neighbour is supported by the Good Samaritan Foundation, charities and over 50 volunteers.
