The Sisters of The Good Samaritan - Safeguarding of Children, Young People and Adults at Risk

Faithful to a Vision

Inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan and the Rule of St Benedict, Good Samaritan Sisters live a communal way of life committed to seeking God and responding as neighbour to those in need.

Sharing all things in common and praying as a community, they search for God in the circumstances of their daily lives.

With faith and humility, they endeavour to love their neighbour wherever she or he may be found.

Statement of Directions 2017 – 2023

Every six years, the Sisters of the Good Samaritan come together in Chapter, to refocus their vision. In 2017, together with their colleagues, they committed to a statement giving shape and direction to their life of prayer and service.

As Good Samaritans, we listen to the Spirit calling us to act boldly and courageously to:

CREATE – nurturing a culture of mutuality

ANIMATE – committing to ecological conversion

LIBERATE – embracing God’s mission in partnership

LEAVEN – fostering ecclesial community
