Adult Education

Some of our Sisters continue to be involved in tertiary education while others, including some Sisters in Japan, make a significant contribution to adult faith formation.

New issues and concerns have also shifted the focus for Sisters involved in education. The new cosmology calls for deeper understanding and knowledge about our environment and care of the earth. This emerging commitment finds expression through the SGS Wivenhoe Conservation and Environment project in the Macarthur Region of Sydney, and the Boulevarde Clean-up project in Bacolod in the Philippines.

Likewise, concern for asylum seekers and trafficked persons impels some of our Sisters to engage the community in furthering its understanding and compassion about these issues.
