Sister Marie O’Shea of Port Pirie in South Australia was one of five Good Samaritan Sisters who recently spent a week in the Aboriginal community of Ltyentye Apurte, also called Santa Teresa. Her photo essay captures aspects of life in this remote part of Central Australia.

Good Samaritan Sister Marie O’Shea is currently involved in initial formation within her congregation. Before that she spent a decade in Kiribati where she was involved in the Good Samaritan Early Childhood Centre and outreach to people with special needs. She has a keen interest in environmental issues and contemplative photography.
